Every year, more and more brands announce a unique and fun twist on their products for the 1st of April—April Fool's Day. The twist can be completely unhinged, too good to be true, or subtle enough to get people guessing if it is true. Here are five of our favorites for 2025!

1. Cadbury
Cadbury launched "On the Goo" sachets for true lovers of the creme egg. Now you can squirt or drizzle your favorite creamy goo on any dish you desire, at home or on the go. While some people were not very keen on the idea of creme eggs in sachets, others liked them.

2. Spritz Society
Spritz Society makes refreshing sparkling cocktails. This year, they created a new concoction for April Fool's Day: the "Grape by Manischewitz," a grape-flavored kosher spritz. However, this might be a tactic to check if there is interest and maybe even launch the product in the future, just as Spritz Society did a couple of years ago when introducing a sour pickle-flavored spritz on the 1st of April and then actually releasing the product a year later.

3. Crunch
Crunch Bar introduced its "Quietest Bar Ever" to address complaints that the original bar is way too noisy. The quiet bar is made with boiled white rice instead of crisped rice for 75% less noise!

4. Deep Indian Kitchen
Savory ice cream with an unusual flavor? Deep Indian Kitchen has you covered with limited-edition flavors such as Chicken Curry, Chicken Tikka Masala, Spinach Paneer, Butter Chicken, and Chicken Vindaloo. Seeing those flavors in store freezers would be fun, but it would not be unheard of.

5. Tabañero
Hot sauce maker Tabañero introduced a hot sauce skin protection: sunscreen to "protect their skin with the same care they give their taste buds." The brand gave clients an opportunity to get a 50% discount on hot sauce on their website.

Do you have a product in mind that might be a great success? We recommend running a behavioral market research project before launching it, ideally in the early stages before you invest a lot of resources into product development. That way, you can back your grandiose ideas with actual data.
